Vacancy: Eye Care Liaison Officer
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £19,961- £23,595 (dependent upon qualifications and experience)

About the role
We are seeking an Eye Care Liaison Officer to provide a high quality service to our service users who are visually impaired and may have other disabilities from St James hospital but be prepared to work from Seacroft and other venues within Leeds community when required. As part of the role, you will be promoting the benefits of CVI registration, and provide emotional support to people accessing our service.
You will also liaise with third party organisations to network and build good relationships with health and social care professionals. You will have experience of working with visually impaired people, be able to undertake assessments, manage a comprehensive case load and be able to use databases.
You will have excellent communication and networking skills. You will be able to work on your own as well as part of a team, be flexible and be prepared to work from various locations. You must also have the willingness to undertake training if required.
BID has provided high quality services for Deaf People for over 100 years, and continues to grow and develop nationally to offer a range of services to people with a Sensory Impairment and other Disabilities and is now seeking to expand its professional team with the addition of an Eye Care Liaison Officer.
