The Eyecare statistics for June have been published by Statistics Wales. Monthly data on ophthalmology outpatients who were waiting within their target date or within 25% beyond their target date at the end of June 2019.  Should their target data be missed, they are at risk of irreversible harm or significant adverse outcome (Health Risk Factor R1). Welsh Government Apprentices ‘Disability Confident’ interview scheme.

Welsh Government will soon launch this years apprenticeship scheme. Apprenticeships are not just for school leavers, find out more about the apprenticeship Scheme here ‘Disability Confident’ interview scheme. As part of Welsh Governments commitment to encouraging disabled people to apply to the Welsh Government they will offer an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum requirements for the post.

Almost 35,000 people at risk of permanent sight loss are waiting too long for eye care, according to new statistics from the Welsh Government.
