Bookings are now open for the College of Optometrists’ fifth Optometry Tomorrow Bitesize conference which will take place at the Hilton London Wembley on Sunday 10 September 2017.
The conference will include some of the most well-received lectures, peer discussions and workshops from the College of Optometrists’ two-day annual conference, Optometry Tomorrow, which was hosted in Birmingham in March this year. It will give delegates the opportunity to earn up to 9 interactive CET points in a single day.
The conference programme includes five lectures and will include content from Dr Margaret Woodhouse on the topic of binocular vision and children and Imran Masood on Glaucoma. Delegates can also attend workshops on the topics of AMD, OCT interpretation and Volk lens skills workshops and peer discussion sessions that will allow delegates to discuss case studies.
College President, Mary-Ann Sherratt, said: “Optometry Tomorrow Bitesize is a great way to access the highlights from our larger conference, and we’re delighted to be able to host this event for the fifth consecutive year. It’s a great opportunity for those who couldn’t make it to Optometry Tomorrow 2017; they can now take part in a range of high-quality CET sessions and network with colleagues.”
Optometry Tomorrow 2017 delegate Nita Odedra MCOptom said: “The conference has been excellent this year with so many great speakers that I’ve had difficulty deciding on what lectures to attend. As always, I come away from the conference with new knowledge and new skills that I will help me practically in my role.”
Tickets Optometry Tomorrow Bitesize are just £70 for College members (£60 for those who qualified from July 2013), and £50 for students or pre-registration trainees. Workshop tickets are available at £30 each and are open to all fully-qualified optometrists who are members of the College.
Bookings are now open and tickets can be obtained from the Optometry Tomorrow Bitesize website. Places are limited so those wishing to attend must book soon to avoid disappointment. A non-member rate is also available.
