Date: Monday 22 - Thursday 25 July 2019
Time: 12:00 am
This project invites music students with visual impairments to work with the Handel House Composer-in-Residence and a visually impaired composer, Michael Andrews (who has previously been on the scheme as a participant) to write a new piece of music based on a pre-set theme and for instrumentalists to workshop with throughout the week, culminating in a final concert.
It is a magnificent project and has seen an incredible number of students go on to be professional composers. The summer school will run 22nd-25th July 2019.
The Summer School is free. You need to arrange your own accommodation in London if necessary and transport. Bring your own lunch and other refreshments, as these are not provided. For the days at RNIB there is a café on site.
