The theme for the congress is “Aligning the World in 2020” as we bring together delegates from across the globe to share and learn about research and best practice from different countries, as well as embracing diversity of practice patterns across the world. The congress gives the opportunity to learn about advanced practice and extended roles and discover new techniques. We welcome the world of orthoptics to Liverpool to network with colleagues to foster new research collaborations as well as creating awareness of different approaches to learning and teaching and facilitating research connected orthoptic education.

As we approach 2020 the scope of orthoptic practice and breadth of research is rapidly increasing. The congress will be a fantastic opportunity to align researchers and practitioners in our field as we evaluate ways to improve patients’ quality of life by aligning their world in 2020.
