NHS Wales ‘It makes sense’ – November is Sensory Loss Awareness Month

Date: Wednesday 1 - Thursday 30 November 2017
Time: All Day

Categories: Eye Health Events

This year’s Sensory Loss Awareness Month will be celebrated during the month of November 2017. Health Boards and NHS Trusts will be planning local launches and activities to raise awareness of the Campaign messages with staff and patients.   It makes sense

The Campaign has the full support of members of the All Wales Senior Officers’ Sensory Loss Standards Group which includes Action on Hearing Loss Cymru, RNIB Cymru, Sense Cymru, British Deaf Association, the Wales Council for Deaf People and the National Deaf Children’s Society and these organisations will be working with the Service to support awareness raising activities throughout November 2017.

The posters and publicity materials produced last year will again be available and further resources will be developed to promote the campaign messages. If you have an idea for supporting this year’s Campaign, please contact the Sensory Loss leads in your Health Board or NHS Trust. For their contact details please go to (our page on the All Wales Standards) or email tara.lewis@wales.nhs.uk
