Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Venue: The Dewars Centre, Perth
The SCOVI Conference this year will focus on the social isolation and loneliness experienced by people with vision impairments. We will hear from Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded about the research on loneliness and sight loss they did earlier this year. People working in mental health and social care will talk about what is needed to tackle social isolation. And we will discuss how technology can be used to prevent loneliness and keep people connected.
With contributions from SCOVI members, the Scottish Government, other charities and health and social care workers, I am sure that this will be a really interesting day of discussions and networking, and an opportunity to consider how we can deliver the changes we need to make so that people with vision impairments do not feel isolated and alone.
