Vision England is an exciting residential programme for young people aged 12 – 17 years with a vision impairment, in partnership with the Field Studies Council (FSC). Young people are supported to play a leading role in changing their communities and the environment for the better. The residentials are great fun and a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop independence and learn new skills in a fun environment. Activities include: Walks, bush craft, hiking and camping, team building and an opportunity to gain a John Muir Award certificate (environmental award scheme).
We hope that each young person will be; making new friends, taking part in team work, experiencing being away from home etc., working towards obtaining the John Muir Award. There are lots of different activities which are varied so that it adapts to everyone’s needs. One thing I can guarantee is that everyone enjoys their time with us, it’s fun, interesting and challenging.
If you are interested, please email Fiona McNaught Fiona.McNaught@sense.org.uk with your name and telephone number so that a place can be reserved as spaces are limited to 20 for each residential.
