About you

We’re looking for someone with creative vision to lead all our external and internal communications and to develop and deliver successful comms strategies across all media.  You’ll oversee our quarterly membership magazine and annual awareness campaigns, take our communications with patients and health and social care professionals to the next level, and help us embed digital throughout the charity. The post line manages a f/t Comms & Events Officer and a p/t Comms Administrator, and reports to our Chief Executive.

If you’re an experienced communications professional, highly personable and enjoy working with a range of people, have creative flair and exceptional writing skills and can engage different audiences with compelling and impactful content, we would love to hear from you.

The IGA is the UK charity for anyone affected by the blinding eye disease glaucoma. We fund vital research, support people to live well with glaucoma, and campaign to increase awareness and reduce needless sight loss. We’re ambitious about expanding our reach and are keen to engage a talented and energetic Communication & Engagement Manager who can lead our small comms team and play a central role in our development.
