We in NFBUK want blind, deaf-blind and partially sighted people to be treated equally and receive the same dignity and respect as other members of society. We want to be able to move safely around our local areas, take part in education and training, get a job, have a social life – do exactly what the average UK citizen expects to do.

What do we do?
We work with many other charities and organisations, and also with local and national government departments and committees who make decisions that affect blind and partially sighted people. We keep them updated about the problems and issues that we, as blind and partially sighted people, face and work with them to find solutions.

How do we meet and operate?
We have a network of local Branches around the country and a postal Branch for those members not able to get to a local group. NFBUK has an e-group and a national audio magazine where members can exchange views about subjects that affect or interest them. We also circulate FedNews, a bi-monthly magazine of news and views from Branches, members, government and other sources, in both audio and e-mail.
