National Eye Health Week (NEHW) takes place later this month, 24 to 30 September, with National Eye health week 2018 logoactivities promoting eye health happening across the UK.

NEHW, organised by the Eyecare Trust, with support from the AOP, provides the ideal opportunity to promote eye care in the community and your practice. There are lots of easy ways to get involved, including:

• Organising a community event or competition

• Joining the NEHW Twitter thunderclap at 12pm on 24 September

• Raising awareness through social media by sharing content on Twitter and Facebook which reflects the daily themes

• Downloading campaign posters and flyers, available from the NEHW website this week, and displaying them in your practice or a local school, GP practice or library

If you ordered a free supporter pack from the Eyecare Trust team, this will be arriving later this week – including resources, such as Vista magazine, to display in your practice.

You can also use our ‘For patients’ resources, including our patient leaflets, to promote eye health throughout the week or visit the NEHW website for more tips and ideas.

Vision UK is very happy to support National Eye Health Week
