2018 – a year of celebration and change

At RNIB we’re proud to be turning 150 in 2018 but even more importantly, we’re getting ready for the next 150 years.

Like many charities, we’re changing – because society is changing. We must modernise now so we’re relevant for an increasing number of blind and partially sighted people in the future. 2018 is going to be an exciting year for RNIB.

We’re transforming ourselves so we can help transform society. We believe in a society without barriers where everyone with sight loss can live their life with confidence and thrive every day.

We believe every blind and partially sighted person should be able to access support and services now and for generations to come.

Our vision is of a connected community of blind and partially sighted people, including family, friends and carers. We believe that a community where people support each other will help to end the isolation experienced by many people living with sight loss.

We asked our Connect Community, customers, partners, volunteers and donors to help us set our plans for the next 150 years, and over the coming months we’ll be sharing how that insight is shaping our future.
