Improving disabled people’s access to assisted travel.
The Office of Road and Rail (ORR) have launched a consultation on improving disabled people’s access to assisted travel by proposing changes to their Disabled People’s Protection Policy (DPPP) Guidance.
Every train and station operator must set out the arrangements and assistance they will provide to protect the interests of disabled people using its services, including people who book assistance in advance and those who want to travel at short notice without pre-planning also known as ‘Turn up and go’.
By answering this survey you will help inform our consultation response to ensure that blind and partially sighted people can travel by train independently and with confidence.
