We are Sight for Surrey – an ambitious charity offering a lifetime of support to people who are blind or partially sighted, Deaf, deafblind or hard of hearing. Our mission is to support people to overcome their day-to-day challenges, achieve their potential and lead an independent life. Established in 1922, we are a countywide charity based in Fetcham, near Leatherhead.

We currently have a vacancy for a Rehabilitation Sensory Specialist to join a team of workers providing a range of statutory assessment and rehabilitation services to people with a vision impairment (VI) and combined sight and hearing loss (CSHL) including Section 7 assessments. We are looking for someone with experience in reablement and rehabilitation training for people with VI and CSHL or similar background in a social care/ health. Commitment to person centred working, excellent communication skills, the ability to work flexibly, as part of a team, collaborate effectively with others, and enthusiastic ‘can do’ approach are essential. The post will involve travelling countywide. Job Share considered. Funding of training for professional qualification considered.
