Early Intervention & Enablement Committee

The successor to the Vision UK Rehabilitation Committee

The aim of the Committee is to enable blind and partially sighted people to live independently by seeking improvement in early intervention services across the UK along the eye health and sight loss pathway.

To achieve the remit, we will:

  • develop robust evidence bases to inform our thinking and the work we undertake;
  • ensure that the voice of blind and partially sighted people is central in our work;
  • actively work with partners across the eye health and sight loss pathway including professionals and members of the public;
  • develop specific workstreams using established project planning methods with clear objectives, outcomes and timelines;
  • ensure that the membership of the Committee enables us to achieve our overall purpose; and
  • promote the work of the Committee with key stakeholders in order to achieve a proactive, collaborative partnership approach which achieves change and embraces both new and established ways of working.
