The ADASS Physical and Sensory Impairment and HIV/AIDS Network is seeking a local authority representative to sit on the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Support Network Management Committee.

29 June 2015

Derrick Biggs, Cambridgeshire County Council has been the network’s representative on this committee, and the vacancy has come up due to his forthcoming retirement. The network thanks Derrick for his extremely valuable contribution over the years.

Being the Network’s representative involves attending committee meetings, which are usually held in London and take place three to four times a year. In addition, there is a family day meeting in Birmingham, usually in November, which takes place over a Friday and Saturday. The meetings are chaired by Professor Knight from the National CJD Research and Surveillance Unit at The University of Edinburgh.

If you are interested please contact Pete Fahy, Joint Chair of the Network by email at peter.fahy@coventry.gov.uk
