The Department for Health and Social Care are seeking views on proposals to tackle the causes of preventable ill health in England.
The DHSC know that our health is shaped by the environment in which we live, the choices we make and the services we receive.
‘Prevention is better than cure’ is one of the oldest principles in medicine. It’s better for the patient and the NHS if we can help to prevent someone becoming ill in the first place. In the past our public health interventions have treated everyone the same: the same message for the entire population. But every individual is different and advances in genomics, artificial intelligence and other new technologies offer the potential for far more personalised and targeted health interventions in the future.
In this consultation they want to hear your views on our proposals for a new approach for the health and care system.
